Petalidi port
We start from the port in Petalidi and walk uphill in the direction of Achladochori, the first 4 km are steep and requires a good fitness. First we visit the archaeoligical excavation site, then further we continue uphill on a paved road. The second part leads us downhill to Petalidi where we can have a drink in one of the Kafenions.
The chronicle of today
Today 37 freewalkers went on an Easter walk.
We were blessed with a lovely blue sky, beautiful white clouds and a light, pleasant wind.
Yellow, pink, white, red and blue flowers blanketed the fields. Nature was incredibly beautiful!
Everyone enjoyed the mostly new walk (some parts were old).
Takis made a new friend (a horse) and Karin and Annie had an Easter egg fight. This year Annie was the winner.
Then we went to visit Manfred and laid some flowers by his resting place. It was a special but sad moment.
The walk was 10.48 km and we climbed up nearly 300 metres.
